IBIZA, February 17, 2026 – The Ibiza Half Marathon continues to break every record. With eight weeks to go before the starting gun, the organization has confirmed today that the race has surpassed the 4,000 registered runners mark. This figure represents an unprecedented milestone in the history of the event, leaving behind the record of 3,600 participants achieved in the 2025 edition.
This exponential growth not only reinforces the technical relevance of the race but also positions Ibiza as a key reference in the European athletics calendar. This year’s outstanding reception reflects a balanced participation between national runners and a significant increase in international athletes, drawn by the uniqueness of a course that combines the island’s natural essence with an epic finish in the heart of the capital.
A successful model built on Ibiza’s identity
This success in participation is the result of coordinated efforts between the organization and the institutions committed to quality and seasonality diversification. The event benefits from the essential support of the Consell d’Eivissa, as well as Ibiza Town Council and Sant Josep de sa Talaia Town Council, whose collaboration is key to ensuring a top-level experience for the thousands of athletes who will run along the roads connecting both municipalities.
Andoni Valencia, head of the Ibiza Half Marathon Sports Association (the local organizing club), described this historic record as the culmination of a long-term project:
