The countdown has already begun. The Ibiza Half Marathon will return on April 3, 2027, following the most successful edition in its history in 2026, cementing its status as one of Spain’s premier spring sporting and tourism events.
The last edition brought together 4,500 participants and once again sold out weeks before the race, confirming the event’s tremendous growth and international reach. This success was reflected not only in the numbers but also in the atmosphere that filled the island throughout the weekend.
One of the major milestones of 2026 was achieving near-parity in participation between men and women—a historic milestone for the race and a sign of the evolution that popular running has undergone in recent years.
With the official announcement of the new date, the organizing committee is already working on the 2027 edition, which will feature significant new developments to be unveiled soon, aimed at further enhancing the experience for runners, supporters, and spectators.
In addition, the Ibiza Half Marathon will continue to uphold one of its key hallmarks: a 100% local organization led by the Ibizan club AD Ibiza Half Triathlon, an entity with extensive experience in creating and managing sporting events on the island.
The event will continue to receive institutional support from the Ibiza City Council, the Sant Josep de sa Talaia City Council, and the Ibiza Island Council, whose backing is essential to continuing to promote an event that combines sports, tourism promotion, and economic revitalization for the island.
“We want to keep growing, but without losing our essence. Ibiza has something special, and we want every runner to feel like they’re participating in an authentic event that’s well-organized and connected to the island,” the organizers emphasize.
With a unique course, the appeal of running in Ibiza, and an atmosphere that blends sports, tourism, and the Mediterranean lifestyle, the race is once again poised to become one of the most sought-after events on the national and international calendar.
