The Balearic Islands’ most international running event has already set a date for 2026: it will be held on Saturday, April 11th. Online registration opens this Friday, May 9th.
The Ibiza Half Marathon returns in 2026 with renewed energy and an ambitious goal: to continue consolidating its position as one of the most prominent sporting events on the international scene. Following the successful participation of the 2025 edition, which brought together 3,600 runners from 35 countries and broke all previous records, the organizers are already working on a new edition that promises to once again fill the island with sport, diversity, and excitement.
The date chosen for the 13th edition will be Saturday, April 11th, 2026, maintaining the afternoon format so valued by participants and featuring the spectacular route that connects Sant Josep with Passeig de Vara de Rey. Registration will open on Friday, May 9th, 2025, through the event’s official website.
Historic Record and International Renown
The 2025 edition marked a turning point for the Ibiza Half Marathon. With 3,600 participants, more than double the previous year’s figure, and a 49.6% female presence, the event not only grew in volume but also in diversity and social impact. Fifty-seven percent of the runners came from abroad, and more than 90% from outside the Balearic Islands, consolidating the IMM as a global event and a driving force for tourism promotion during the off-season.
Figures such as Paralympic medalist Elena Congost, along with elite runners from countries like Bahrain, Morocco, and Kenya, raised the competitive level of the event, which saw unforgettable moments such as Kenyan Deborah Samum setting a new women’s record (1:10:33).
An experience that goes beyond the clock
The Ibiza Half Marathon is not just a race: it’s a full weekend of sport, socializing, and the Mediterranean lifestyle. Along the route, athletes enjoy unique landscapes, local entertainment, a dynamic runner’s fair, and a seafront finish line that has become an icon for European running.
The experience is rounded out by a first-class tourism and gastronomic offering, making the IMM an unbeatable opportunity to discover the island in an active and unique way. The event has the institutional support of the Consell d’Eivissa, the city councils of Ibiza and Sant Josep, and the technical supervision of the Balearic Islands Athletics Federation.
Registration open from May 9
The organizers will open registration on Friday, May 9, 2025, with the first promotional period for the fastest participants running until May 31. Places are expected to fill up quickly, given the high national and international demand recorded in recent editions.
