The Ibiza Half Marathon 2025 already has more than 1,000 registered participants, well above the 400 registered at this time last year. The event gains in diversity, with 57% of the participants being women, and consolidates its international character with 64% of participants coming from outside Spain.
The Ibiza Half Marathon, scheduled for 5 April 2025, is achieving historic registration figures. By November 2024, more than 1,000 participants have already registered, far exceeding the 400 registered at the same time last year. The IMM 2025 is well on its way to surpassing the 1,600 participants who took part in the 2024 edition, reaffirming its consolidation as an international sporting reference on the island of Ibiza.
The sustained growth of this sporting event reflects its great appeal, especially on an international level. In fact, so far, 64% of the registered participants are foreigners, with a notable presence of participants from the United Kingdom (32.5%), Ireland (6%) and France (6%), while only 36% are Spanish. Of these, 8% are from the Balearic Islands. It is also worth noting that the female presence has increased to 57%, consolidating itself as an increasingly diverse event.
These data demonstrate the relevance of this event as an engine for the promotion of tourism outside the summer season and with a positive economic impact on Ibiza, positioning the island as a high-level sporting destination all year round.
This is the half marathon distance, 21,097 m, the only one approved on the island and with international category II and registered in the calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA). The Ibiza Half Marathon is an event promoted by the Ibiza Half Triathlon Sports Association, and the route is scheduled to start on the afternoon of Saturday the 5th in the municipality of Sant Josep. The event has the backing of the Consell d’Eivissa, as well as the municipalities of Ibiza and Sant Josep.
The route of this key sporting event in the Balearic Islands is under the supervision of the judges of the Federación de Atletismo de las Islas Baleares (Athletics Federation of the Balearic Islands), who guarantee the integrity of the competition, which will have its finish line on Paseo Vara de Rey in the city of Ibiza.
